He earned his Ph.D. from the School of Information Technology and Engineering at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, USA, completing his studies from August 1994 to August 1997. He currently holds the position of Tenured Professor in the Computer Science Department within the College of Arts and Sciences at Southern Connecticut State University since the fall of 2022. Prior to this, he served as an Associate Professor in the same department from the fall of 2019 to the fall of 2021. His academic journey includes roles as an Assistant Professor and later as a Professional Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where he contributed from 2017 to the summer of 2019 and from 2016 to 2017, respectively. Before joining Texas A&M, he served as a Professor and Department Chair in the Computers and Systems Department at the Electronics Research Institute (ERI) under the Ministry of Scientific Research in Cairo, Egypt, from 2015 to 2016.
