Mr Kuntal Ghosh CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CSIR-CGCRI), India

He currently serves as a Senior Research Fellow (INSPIRE DST Fellow) at the Energy Materials and Devices Division of CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute, where he focuses on developing All Solid-State Lithium Batteries using Novel Electrolytes under the guidance of Dr. Mir Wasim Raja. Previously, he conducted research on raindrop-size distribution during the Southwest Monsoon at Bose Institute in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, during a summer training program supervised by Dr. Sanat Kumar Das. These experiences have equipped him with valuable skills and expertise in the fields of materials science and environmental science.

Education:

He is currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow (INSPIRE DST Fellow) at the Energy Materials and Devices Division (formerly FCBD) of CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute since October 2022. Under the guidance of Dr. Mir Wasim Raja, he is dedicated to the development of All Solid-State Lithium Batteries using Novel Electrolytes. Prior to this role, he held the position of Junior Research Fellow (INSPIRE DST Fellow) at the same division from October 2020 to October 2022, also under the supervision of Dr. M.W. Raja. Concurrently, he is pursuing his PhD at Jadavpur University since March 2022, focusing on the same topic of developing All Solid-State Lithium Batteries using Novel Electrolytes. He holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physics with a specialization in Condensed Matter Physics from Banaras Hindu University and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics Hons. from Mohsin College. His academic journey began with Higher Secondary (H.S.) and Secondary (Madhyamik) education in Science from Puinan High School and Gossain Mali Para High School, respectively, both in West Bengal, India. His academic achievements and research endeavors reflect his dedication and passion for advancing the field of energy materials and devices.

Experience:

For his dissertation project, he collaborated with Dr. R. S. Tiwari, a Professor in the Department of Physics at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The project centered around the hydrothermal synthesis of tungsten oxide nanostructures, emphasizing experimental techniques to fabricate and characterize these materials. This endeavor allowed him to delve into the realm of nanotechnology, exploring novel methods for the production of nanostructured materials with potential applications in various fields. Through these experiences, he honed his research skills, gained practical knowledge, and contributed to advancements in the respective domains under the guidance of esteemed mentors.

He is the Head of Project Management Studies at Kozminski University and concurrently serves as a Ph.D. candidate and Research and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Quantitative Methods & Information Technology. With a strong academic background, he has contributed significantly to the field of project management. His dedication to both teaching and research is evident in his roles as a Ph.D. candidate and Research Assistant, where he continues to expand his expertise in quantitative methods and information technology.

He currently holds the position of Head of Project Management Studies at Kozminski University and is concurrently pursuing a Ph.D., serving as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Department of Quantitative Methods & Information Technology. His academic journey began with the completion of his Master of Science (MA) degree at the Wrocław Academy of Economics (now Wroclaw University of Economics), specializing in the Department of Management and Computer Science. Experience:

Since the inception of his career in IT and management consulting in 1998, he has held diverse roles, evolving into a seasoned professional. Initially serving as an SAP R/3 consultant and IT-business alignment consultant, he swiftly progressed to become a subject matter expert in IT investment valuation, incorporating real options calculations into his expertise. His leadership skills were evident as the head of a project managers’ competence center and later as the deputy head of the consulting services department. During the emergence of the agile manifesto, he embraced the approach, becoming one of its early advocates in business-reorientation strategic projects. In 2006, he ventured into managing high-risk business and digital transformation projects in telecommunications, banking, insurance, and media, leaving a lasting impact on strategic IT initiatives. Between 2013 and 2021, he served as an advisor to the board at a power industry manufacturing start-up, contributing to its international recognition. An active trainer since 2001, he has imparted knowledge in management, project management, and performance management (financial controlling). Currently, having partially retired from his consulting and project management career, he joined Kozminski University in 2021. Engaged in scientific publications and pursuing a Ph.D. on crisis management and project management, he continues to contribute to academia and the evolving landscape of project management methodologies.
