Prof Dr Kuei Tien Chou, Risk Society and Policy Research Center, National Taiwan University, Taiwan

He currently serves as a Professor at the Graduate Institute of National Development at National Taiwan University, a position he has held since August 2008. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Munich Institute of Sociology in Germany, where he dedicated five years to rigorous academic study and research from 1994 to 1999. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Munich Institute of Sociology in Germany, where he dedicated five years to rigorous academic study and research from 1994 to 1999. Prior to this, he pursued his Master’s degree at Taiwan University Institute of Sociology, deepening his understanding of sociological concepts and methodologies from 1992 to 1994. His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree at Taiwan University Department of Sociology, where he laid the foundation for his future academic pursuits from 1989 to 1992. Throughout his educational career, he demonstrated a keen interest in sociology and a commitment to scholarly excellence, evident in his pursuit of advanced degrees across different institutions and countries.

He currently holds the position of Professor at the Graduate Institute of National Development at National Taiwan University, a role he has held since August 2008. Additionally, he serves as the Director of the Risk Society and Policy Research Center, a position he assumed in August 2020. With a wealth of professional experience, he previously served as the Director of the Graduate Institute of National Development at National Taiwan University from August 2016 to July 2019.
