Assist Prof Dr Zila Özlem KIRBAŞ Bayburt University, Turkey

She completed her undergraduate studies at Atatürk University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing Department, with a focus on Nursing Public Relations, graduating in January 2010. Since then, she has been dedicated to making a positive impact in the field of nursing. Her academic journey at Atatürk University equipped her with a strong foundation in health sciences and nursing principles. With a passion for healthcare and a commitment to patient well-being, she has embarked on a journey to contribute to the nursing profession, bringing her skills and knowledge to the forefront of healthcare initiatives.

Education:

She completed her Ph.D. in Nursing at Karadeniz Technical University, Institute of Health Sciences, in March 2021. Her doctoral thesis, supervised by İlknur Kahriman, focused on evaluating the impact of using virtual reality goggles on children’s fear and anxiety levels during school vaccination practices. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned her Master’s degree in Pediatric Nursing from Atatürk University, Institute of Health Sciences, in March 2013. Her master’s thesis, advised by Hava Özkan, explored the perception of family functions and assessment of social support levels among mothers of children with Down syndrome. She commenced her academic journey in nursing by completing her undergraduate degree at Atatürk University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing Department, in January 2010. With a strong academic background, she has contributed to the field of nursing through her research on pediatric healthcare and maternal experiences.

Experience:

She participated in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching Mobility program at Powi?la?ski University Faculty of Health Sciences in Kwidzyn, Poland, from May 16 to May 20, 2023, as part of her international academic endeavors. In her professional background, she worked as a nurse in the Turkish Ministry of Health, a public institution, from September 13, 1990, to February 15, 2015. Her experience in both international academic exchange and public health nursing reflects a well-rounded and diverse career, showcasing her commitment to both education and healthcare service.

She earned her Ph.D. in Nursing from Ondokuz Mayıs University, Graduate Education Institute, in March 2021. Currently serving as an academic staff member at Ordu University, she holds the position of Instructor at the Health Care Services Department of İkizce Vocational School. With a focus on elder care, she previously worked as the Director of Vocational School at Ordu University, İkizce Vocational School. Her academic journey reflects a commitment to nursing education and administration, particularly in the field of health care services for the elderly.

Education:

She completed her doctoral studies in nursing at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Graduate Education Institute, in March 2021. Her doctoral thesis focused on the examination of emotion regulation and quality of life among final-year nursing students. Gülşen Terakye served as her thesis advisor during her master’s studies at Selçuk University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing Department, where she explored the emotion control and quality of life of nursing students in her thesis in 2015. Prior to her master’s studies, she earned her undergraduate degree from Marmara University, School of Nursing, in 2005. With a dedicated academic journey in nursing, she has contributed to the field through her research on emotion regulation, quality of life, and nursing education.

Experience:

In the period from 2011 to 2013, she worked as a nurse at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, gaining valuable experience in nursing practice. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, she served as a nurse at Selçuk University Meram Faculty of Medicine Hospital, further contributing to her expertise in the field. Her nursing career commenced in the years 2006 to 2009 at Atatürk University Aziziye Research Hospital, where she actively engaged in nursing duties and patient care. Throughout these roles, she has demonstrated dedication to the nursing profession, accumulating diverse experiences across various medical institutions and enhancing her skills in patient care and healthcare services.
