Education:
He completed his doctoral studies in Urban Planning at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2010, achieving an excellent rating and Cum Laude distinction. His specialization focused on metropolitan subjects, including the metropolization of the territory and the logics of location encompassing production, distribution, consumption, and housing. The dissertation committee included notable figures such as Manuel de Solá-Morales I Rubió, Joan Trullen I Thomás, and David Mangin, among others. Additionally, in 2010, he participated in the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy’s Certified Program on GIS Applied to Urban Studies. He also completed a Certificate Program on The Metropolitan Phenomena at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (PUEC-UNAM) in 2005. His educational journey began with a Bachelor of Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana, A.C., Mexico, in 2003. Throughout his academic and professional career, he has demonstrated a keen interest and expertise in urban planning and related fields, contributing significantly to research and practice in the built environment.

From 2012 to 2019, he served as a full-time professor-researcher and Project Manager at the Centro de Investigación en Ciencias de Información Geoespacial (CentroGeoCONACYT). His role involved spearheading research initiatives and overseeing projects within the realm of geospatial information sciences. Prior to this, in 2011-2012, he assumed the position of Urban Projects Leader at the ADO group where he demonstrated proficiency in managing urban development projects. From 2001 to 2003, he worked as a Staff Architect at Beery Rio Architecture and Interiors in Virginia, U.S., contributing his expertise to architectural endeavors. Preceding this, from 1998 to 2001, he embarked on his career journey as an Independent Architect, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and innovative approach to architectural design. Throughout his professional trajectory, he has exhibited a strong commitment to advancing the fields of architecture, urban planning, and geospatial sciences, leveraging his expertise to drive impactful research and project management endeavors.
