Dr Pankaj Kharabe UltraChrom Innovatives Pvt. Ltd, India

He holds a Ph.D. in Drug Discovery and Development from the University of Sunderland, UK, where his thesis, conducted under the supervision of Dr. J. W. Lough, focused on selective chromatographic approaches towards isolating medicinal plant constituents. With expertise as a Separation Scientist at Stiefel Laboratories-Glaxo Smith Kline Pharma in the UK, he has extensive experience in natural products analysis and research, particularly in screening chiral compounds. Utilizing various techniques such as RP-HPLC, HILIC, IEC, and SFC, he has successfully screened 28 new plant metabolites including polyphenolic acids, flavonoids, phytoamines, and phytosterols. His research contributions in drug discovery and natural product analysis highlight his proficiency in chromatographic techniques and his dedication to advancing pharmaceutical science.

Education:

He earned his Ph.D. in Drug Discovery and Development from the University of Sunderland, UK, under the supervision of Dr. J. W. Lough, focusing on selective chromatographic approaches towards isolating medicinal plant constituents. Prior to his Ph.D., he pursued an M.Res at Northumbria University in Newcastle, UK, from 2004 to 2005, in Biotechnology and Pharmacology. Under the guidance of Dr. Chris Baldwin, he investigated morphine tolerance and dependence on immune cell lines, utilizing techniques such as tissue culture and the development of immune cells, including EBV-937 and HP 9002. He also holds an MSc in STEM Cells, where he gained proficiency in ELISA technique, PCR techniques, and Gel Electrophoresis. His academic journey began with a B. Pharm from Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati University, India, where he laid the foundation for his pharmaceutical career. Throughout his education and research experiences, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing knowledge in drug discovery, biotechnology, and pharmacology.
